Halima’s classes combine attention to alignment and a straightforward yet challenging sequence, in a light-hearted and welcoming environment. After years of dance instruction, she finds the flow-based movement of Vinyasa a perfect fit. Halima believes a mindful practice can decompress and strengthen the body, mind and spirit while allowing space for reflection and growth.
A Michigan native and University of Michigan alum, Halima received her 200-hour Teacher Certification from Yogamaya New York. Off the mat, she’s an actor and teaching artist. Halima has a penchant for the arts, good books, good laughs and Michigan Football.
