𝗜 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗱𝘀. I love trying to live these words. Secretly (not anymore) I love 𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘦.⁣

We never had a specific “Yoga & Social Justice” module in our 200hr YTT. I thought by offering a huge amount of yoga philosophy teachings we were doing it right. We have now learned we need one + it 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹𝘀 𝘀𝗼 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁. ⁣

This is just one way we’ve adapted over the past decade. ⁣
⁣
Every single Info Meeting we hold we ask the people “Why are you here?”⁣
Every single person answers “I get so much from yoga & I want to share that with others.”⁣
⁣
𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 “𝘄𝗵𝘆” - 𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝘀𝗼 𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿. ⁣
⁣
We already know that how we relate to ourselves includes how we relate to others. Yoga or “self-liberation” does not & cannot happen in a vacuum. Sometimes we need to learn how to better our relations. 😉 Yoga offers powerful techniques. ⁣
⁣
Our 200hr has consistently evolved in every way for the past decade. We change our training topics & materials, we change our homework format, we change our schedule, we change our faculty, we change our student code of conduct, we change the “vibe” & the way we interact with trainees - we adapt + respond to things we learn, feedback we hear and the world around us. ⁣
⁣
A decade ago my teacher @carrieowerko offered a living definition of Yoga: “to respond more skillfully”. ⁣
⁣
