Keely Garfield is a certified E-RYT 500 and an Urban Zen Integrative Therapist (UZIT). Her teaching is informed by her varied studies in asana, pranayama, meditation, Reiki and Buddhist contemplative care. Her classes are infused with her innate sense of movement and musicality creating a seamless flow that focuses breath by breath on the gift in the present moment. She unites a strong emphasis on alignment and a compassionate touch to travel barefoot with her students along the path of liberation.
Keely has a strong background in Iyengar and Vinyasa yoga and practices in the Soto Zen tradition of the White Plum lineage of Taizan Maezumi Roshi. Currently, Keely is the clinical coordinator for Donna Karan’s UZIT program at The Farber Center for Radiation Oncology. Additionally, Keely holds a BA and an MFA in choreography, and her path has been shaped by her work as an acclaimed choreographer and dancer (www.keelygarfield.org), and by the blessing of being the mother of two beautiful beings.
